Alpha Phi Foundation
Incorporated in 1956, Alpha Phi Foundation is one of the oldest women’s fraternal foundations. Its primary philanthropic goals are supporting women’s heart health and developing women as leaders. The Foundation awards funds for programs that advance leadership development, encourage academic excellence, improve women's heart health, support sisters in need, and educate them about the value of philanthropy. The Foundation is a non-profit organization supported by contributions from individual members, collegiate and alumnae chapters, corporations, and friends. Whether directly affected by heart disease or knowing someone close to you battling the disease, the Foundation touches the lives of many worldwide. In 2024, Alpha Phi Foundation proudly announced two recipients of the Heart to Heart Grant for the first time. The $100,000 Heart to Heart Clinical Grant was awarded to Barnes-Jewish Hospital affiliated with Washington University in St. Louis. The inaugural Alpha Phi Foundation $25,000 Heart to Heart Community Grant was awarded to the University of Missouri for their project “Missouri CARES Heart Squad.”

When Alpha Phi collegiate chapters raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation, they don’t just raise funds to advance the work of the Foundation; they aim to heighten awareness of women’s heart health through various creative and innovative activities. Whether it’s a Red Dress Event or an exciting Woofstock cutest dog contest, Alpha Phi educates with heart. This year, the Kappa Theta chapter raised over $50,000 during our Red Dress Event.
